About

I live in one of the most beautiful and unknow areas of the Lower Mainland in southern B.C., the south slope of Burnaby Mountain. We are right below SFU, close to everything, and live in the middle of a rain forest. It always seems a little cooler here. My day job is general manager at a small Fraser Valley credit union, Mt. Lehman Credit Union. This is a single branch credit union that started in 1942. It is one of the few single branch open-bond credit unions left in the Lower Mainland of B.C. So anything I say here about the credit union is my own personal opinion and NOT that of the credit union. I have been in the system since 1978 and have found working for members/owners the only way I can have a job.I am married (35+ years) to a wonderful Danish woman and have two adult children. One is married and attending the Lutheran Seminary in Saskatoon, the other is an artist (Basco5) living in Copenhagen, Denmark. This blog tends to be passionate at times. We live in a world were the ability to debate and discuss is not always prevalent. Those people that contribute and comment are always welcome and I would thank you in advance for your contribution. Unless there is an agenda for advertising or language not suitable for a civilzed individual any and all comments will be accepted and posted.    *******  DISCLAIMER When I comment on any aspect of my employer’s business, Mt. Lehman Credit Union, or any policy issue that the credit union may be involved in where I have responsibility for the credit union’s engagement, I am clearly identifying myself as an employee of Mt. Lehman Credit Union and include this disclaimer – that the views here are my own and not those of Mt. Lehman Credit Union.  *******

Gene! I was captioning my 1985 journals and I came across your name several times. I thought you might be on face-book, but no luck. So I googled you an sure enough you appeared with your fish. You the same as you did in 1985. Me too.
